Description:
These cut glass decaters were used in the home of John and Frances Allan, foster parents of Edgar Allan Poe. The Poe Museum purchased them on September 14, 1922 for $20. A note in the accession book states that they belonged to Mrs. Allan. The Museum purchased them along with a pair of American Sheraton Fancy Painted Side Chairs also said to have belonged to Mrs. Allan.
