This poster promotes the West German film "Die Schlangengrube und das Pendel," which was also released under the titles "The Blood Demon," "The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism," "Blood of the Virgins," "Torture Room," "The Snake Pit and the Pendulum," and "Pendulum." The film is very loosely based on Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The Pit and the Pendulum."
