You may recognize the acclaimed verses from his poems “The Raven\,” “Annabel Lee\,” or “To Helen.”   \n\n\n\nRegional stage actor and Programs Coordinator of the Poe Museum Dean Knight will read a selection of Poe’s poetic works while inside the Enchanted Garden of the Poe Museum. The garden was created based on Poe’s poems\, intended to bring Poe’s work to life.  \n\n\n\nThis event is virtual. Tickets are free. SUMMARY:The Tell-Tale Heart of Richmond Tour
DESCRIPTION:One of America’s most famous writers grew up in the historic heart of Richmond–and we will explore it on this tour! Join Dean Knight\, Programs Coordinator at the Poe Museum\, on a tour of Richmond’s oldest neighborhoods and their connections to Edgar Allan Poe\, the author of “The Tell-Tale Heart”\, “The Raven”\, “The Cask of Amontillado”\, and many others. \n\n\n\nWe’ll see St. John’s Church\, where Patrick Henry gave his revolutionary “Give me liberty or give me death” speech\, view all of downtown Richmond from a spectacular raven’s perch\, dig into the buried history of Virginia’s first Jewish cemetery\, and glimpse at the secrets of the oldest Masonic Hall in the United States. Along the way Dean\, who is also an accomplished stage actor\, will recite from some of Poe’s greatest works. \n\n\n\nThis event is virtual. Tickets are free. DESCRIPTION:Join the Poe Museum and Mending Walls on March 30th from 6:30-9pm at Gallery5 for art\, live music and conversations with Richmond artists from the Mending Walls project.  \n\n\n\nIn June of 2020\, Mending Walls invited artists to create artwork to adorn the facade of the Poe Museum to spark community conversations\, empathy\, and collaboration throughout Richmond against racial injustices with public art. \n\n\n\nIn celebration of the inception of the public art project and the partnership\, the original artwork that launched the project will be auctioned.  \n\n\n\nProceeds benefit the Poe Museum and Mending Walls.
