DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, August 9th at 6:00pm for a talk and discussion with the Dontrese Brown and Dean Browell\, the founders of Hidden In Plain Site (HiPS)! \n\n\n\n*** \n\n\n\nHiPS is a VR exploration of distinct but easy to overlook sites \n\n\n\naround Richmond\, VA\, that tell the story of the Black \n\n\n\nexperience throughout our history. HiPSTM exists to use \n\n\n\ntechnology to change the future of cultural education. \n\n\n\nFeaturing actual examples from various angles and ages\, \n\n\n\nthese sites will be brought to impactful life through current \n\n\n\nappearance augmented with historical imagery. Our goal is \n\n\n\nto inform\, educate and inspire the people of our communities \n\n\n\nby correcting the narratives of our historically \n\n\n\nunderrepresented groups – changing how we see\, \n\n\n\nexperience\, and understand these cultures. \n\n\n\n\n\n*** \n\n\n\nEmail Paul Bean at paul@poemuseum.org for more information.
