SUMMARY:Pride UnHappy Hour
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Pride Month at the Poe Museum! \n\n\n\nJoin us on Thursday\, June 22nd from 6:00pm to 9:00pm for a wonderful evening of local music\, libations\, and good food.  \n\n\n\nEnjoy original indie-pop music by Landon Elliott\, a drag show by Alvion Arnell Davenport\, and craft brews by our wonderful sponsors\, Hardywood Brewing. TBT El Gallo will be popped up in the parking lot to satisfy all of your food cravings.  \n\n\n\nIt’s a miserable time from 6:00 to 9:00… \n\n\n\nRichmond\, VA-based singer-songwriter Landon Elliott’s new music is an inside look at the fallout from coming out as gay later in life\, with no regrets\, but an honest acceptance of the price that had to be paid to live his truth. It’s about taking an honest inventory of potential relationships lost and the inevitable life changes; weighing the decision to live pinned by shame or to find freedom in authenticity.  \n\n\n\nContact Soraya Teschner at soraya@poemuseum.org for additional information or media inquiries.

Plum struggles to determine the limits of her own ambition when Dr. Frank offers her a chance to assist with her next project. How far will Plum go in the name of scientific advancement and what is she willing to risk?  \n\n\n\nAbout the author: \n\n\n\nAddie Tsai (any/all) is a queer nonbinary artist and writer of color who teaches creative writing at the College of William & Mary.
